Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice-President, has granted financial assistance to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Bono Regional Secretariat ahead of the party’s constituency Annual Delegates Conference, which will take place from Thursday, August 26 to Sunday, August 29, this year.
Mr Seth Asare Bediako, the NPP’s Bono Regional Communications Director, said in a statement, “The support would help lighten the load of the 12 constituencies in the Region, as the party prepares for a resounding win in Election 2024.” The conference will debate important problems related to Election 2024 and deliberate ways to broaden participation, according to the statement.
Further conversations would focus on identifying and tackling unique difficulties that the party would face in the 2020 general election, according to the statement.
The conference is being held in accordance with Articles 7(27) and 9(25) of the NPP constitution, which say that there would be Constituency and Regional Annual Delegates Conferences, respectively, as notified by the party’s General Secretary, Mr John Boadu, according to the statement. “His Excellency the Vice President’s amazing generosity in this area has pleased the party in the region, and we assured him that the money would be used prudently to maximize its benefit,” it continued.
