Petr Cech, a former Chelsea goalkeeper who now works as a boardroom advisor, is said to have seen another goalie who the club should look into.
Cech was the scout who recommended Edouard Mendy last summer, and we all know how that went.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in Werder Bremen goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka, according to Deich Stube.
Cech’s countryman, the 29-year-old has 13 caps for his country.
He could be an excellent option to come in and back up Mendy this season, especially with the Senegalese international missing time at the African Cup of Nations.
Chelsea will need two goalkeepers this summer, with Kepa Arrizabalaga rumoured to be leaving and Willy Caballero having already left at the end of his contract. Wayne Hennessy is a third-choice option.
