According to AS, Chelsea will try one more time to capture Sevilla defender Jules Kounde before the transfer season shuts.
According to the Spanish outlet, the Blues have yet to come close to matching Sevilla’s €70 million (£60 million) asking price for the Frenchman, but they believe that will change in the coming weeks.
According to AS, West Ham are the most likely team to sign Zouma, with a sum of €25 million (£21 million) to €30 million (£25.5 million) predicted, which, when combined with the revenues from the sale of Abraham, would be enough to win Kounde’s signature.
After selling Tammy Abraham to Roma for €40 million (£34 million), Thomas Tuchel’s side now have some finances available to sign Kounde, however the exit of Kurt Zouma is still expected to be required.
Currently, with no formal offer for the 22-year-old on the table, he is expected to participate in Sevilla’s match against Getafe on Monday evening.
