President Akufo-Addo says: the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) will announce the modalities for the re-opening of cinemas in the coming weeks.
The protocols, he said, are essential for ensuring the safety of patrons and everyone involved in the industry.
Before the industry can reopen, President Akufo-Addo declared that cinema owners must completely comply with the agreed-upon modalities and protocols.
The government has collaborated with cinema owners and operators to create a set of protocols and guidelines that must be implemented and followed by all operators before the reopening of cinemas and theatres.
“In the coming weeks, the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Tourism Authority will announce these protocols and mandatory modalities, and collaborate with the operators on a collection of directives that will ensure the health and safety of all patrons and workers in all of the facilities involved,” says the Ghana Health Service.
