At the ongoing Global Education Summit, about $4 billion has been raised.
The money, which falls $1 billion short of the Summit’s overall goal of $5 billion, will go toward helping a large number of helpless children around the world have access to education.
President Nana Akufo-Addo revealed this, stating that the $4 billion “would provide a huge number of children in some of the world’s poorest countries with an opportunity to approach education.”
“The Global Education Summit brought together people from all around the world to support quality education for all children,” he says.
Concerning the Summit
Kenya and the United Kingdom (UK) are collaborating to bring global schooling to a close.
The London Summit will focus on dealing with the schooling problem caused by the Covid epidemic.
The Summit also plans to generate more than $5 billion (£3.5 billion) for an asset that will be used to buy books, train instructors, and put together homerooms.
