Diana Antwi Hamilton, a gospel singer, was named Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2021. (VGMA).
She triumphed against KiDi, Adina, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, and Sarkodie to win the grand prize.
The Adom singer also won three other accolades on the night.
She won Gospel Artiste of the Year over Akesse Brempong, Joe Mettle, Celestine Donkor, Empress Gifty, MOG Music, Efe Grace, and Eric Jeshrun.
Hamilton’s hit song, “Adom,” also won prizes for Best Gospel Song of the Year and Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year.
The Gospel sensation expressed gratitude to her fans, management team, family, media, and everyone who has supported her during her career and in the past year.
Diana Hamilton is the first female gospel artist to win the VGMA’s highest honor in the event’s 22-year history.
The two-day event, which began on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Grand Arena at the Fantasy Dome and ended on Saturday, June 26, 2021, came to an end.
