WAEC: The results of the 2021 BECE for private applicants have been released

The results of the 2021 Basic Certificate Examination (BECE) for private applicants who sat for the exams this year have been issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The results were made available on the WAEC website.

Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, stated, “The Council has put the results online and candidates may view their results via the Council’s website at www.waecgh.org.”

The exam is used for both certification and admission to Ghana’s Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes.

It is made up of candidates who previously took the BECE but did not pass.

Every year in February, the examination is held in Ghana’s regional capitals.

A total of 1,067 candidates, 584 males and 483 females, took the 2021 exam, which was administered at 11 locations across the country.

According to WAEC, 929 participants sat for the exam out of a total of 929 who enrolled, with 138 candidates absent.
